Changed the Oil, Filter, and Fuel Filter (nice + clean this time)

Went with the Mobil 5/30 Full Syn formula and their Filter.
Does any one else have trouble with their drain plug ???
Mine screws in easy then gets hard as schitt, when you take it out you can see the threads are a little screwed up about 3/4 of the way down. "Someday that may be a problem"

AS for the fuel filter, what were they thinking putting it there.
This is not the 1st time changing it, but man it's in a bad spot and I find it quite a beach to get in there and release those suckers.
Yes I took a gas bath too
The good news is after another 5000 miles it looked good and was flowing both way's very good. I didn't bother cutting this one open because I could see that there was no flow problem in either direction, the first one was clogged solid one way, thats what made me open it. My Hats off to Sunoco Ultra 94

I'm sure working on a wet rock driveway with a crappy jack didn't make the job any easier.

Today I am dedicating to cleaning the Motor, mounting the new Nitrous Bottle Brackets, cleaning up the rest of the wiring, and hopefully cleaning the Lightning if I have the time.
May have to do some Nitrous Testing if it stays dry out

Its about time that engine bay gets a little TLC.

I am dedicating my day to driving the Cobra with the top down and drinking beers and eating wings at Hooters with some of my L buddies.

Rob: If I can get my lazt adze in gear, I'm going to clean my eng. bay(got some new[to me] Meguiers cleaner and protectant) and the outside too. What's holding me back(besides the aforementioned "lazy adze", is rain is forecasted for the next 3 days but it's so dirty.

that portion of the plug that won't go in has it's threads pulled. It happens when you overtighten the plug.

You need to get a new one from the dealer which is about $4.00 and put the plug in till it reaches the o-ring and just give it a small snug. I think it's 24 ft/lbs. The o-ring seals it, no need to gorilla it tight.

Same goes with the oil filter, don't use the wrench, just hand tight.

I don't know Gator

Two trip to Maryland in a few weeks
would be pushing it for me ???

Let me think this out, any strippers gonna be there ???

Got HP
Thanks,
the first oil change I ever got was at Jiffy Lube, (stupid I know)
they must have screwed it up, because the two times I've done it since, is when I noticed it while taken it off

I guess I'll pickup a new Drain Plug for the next Oil Change

yeah it happens all the time. I know exactly why that happens since I work at a Wal-Mart tire lube express.

I have to show all the new techs how NOT to overtighten the plugs. It's very easy to do when you are standing under the vehicle with all that leverage vs being on your back.
