Rear End

ANyone know any reason for my rear passenger side tire area to chatter/hop under normal driving conditions? I took it in to the shop but they say they can not duplicate the problem I describe. Basically under a little acceleration around a right hand turn or over some bumpy/chattery areas on the Florida roads. I noticed it about 1k miles ago and just can't belive this is normal. Truck has 20k miles on it and tires are in good shape. Thanx

Have you changed the gear lube in the differential? If so did you use the additive? If not Try changeing the gear lube and install a bottle of Posi additive {I use the motorsports brand} what you are experiencing is clutch chatter.

not sure but, if you are accelerating around a turn the clutches might lock a bit and the rear will act like a spool when going around a corner this will cause a hopping. i believe this is normal. the friction modifier is there to help lessen this

My L does this, it's a 2003, has only 300 miles. I believe it's normal or positive traction rear ends to do this (did it in my other truck long long ago).

same deal here...same quality florida roads as well
I know its normal, my 99xlt did it as well. I think it has something to do with the loss of, or change in traction conditions on only one wheel. I guess thats the limited slip coming into play

hey by the way...you werent driving north on McMullen Booth yesterday around 3:30-4:00 were you? I drove next to a clean looking red L that was an 01-02

I thought I heard you rev it a bit when you went by. I had my stereo cranked so I wasnt sure if I actually heard ya. One guy you were in front of was talking about our trucks to his buddy when I pulled behind him. Guess he noticed he was surrounded
