Electric Fan Questions?

When using an electric fan; Will the truck overheat while idleing in traffic on a 100 degree day? Also can you still tow on a hot day. I bought an electric fan months ago but have been too lazy to install it. If I can't tow or idle in traffic on a hot day I will not use it. I like the fact that you can do everything with a Lightning. Skip

I have the JDM electric fan kit on my 2000 'L and my son also has a JDM fan kit on his '99 Expedition. We live in the Houston Texas area where the temperatures approach 100 degrees with 100 percent humidity often during the summer. I've had mine for almost 3 years now with no problems even in the Houston traffic jams. My son has no problems with overheating either.

I don't tow with mine but would not think you would have any problems even then.

So what you are saying, is that it won't overheat stuck in traffic, but forget about towing. Am I correct? Skip

Just like everyone else said.......you will have no problems doping anything...........even hooking up an SRT-10 to the hitch and towing his *** down the 1320' for his first 12 second pass
