I sold my 2001 L last year to meet some short term goals, and I hated every minute being without it. That Lightning was my dream truck, man. I understand your feelings about family and the possibility of giving up one of your dreams.

I've been a long-term lurker of this L board since '99/'00 and I remember when it was one of the coolest places to hang-out - even if I didn't have an L at the time... ( L guys like Ruslow, Wyldman, MRBBQMAN, SpikeEngineering et al.) were regulars.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune! Do EVERYTHING humanly possible to hang on to the L. I've busted my @ss for years to make REAL $$$$ to afford the L, so you can too !

I would hope you guys are not saying im a jerk for asking a question?If you are looking for a pity party( I assume since you left us all hanging with no information you are )you should at least tell us your story before we start selling out blood to help.

As far as Im concerned,If you had enough time to type what you did,You could at least tell us who what where when................I think the negativity comes from the LACK of information.......

 

Letting them go is way tough, you'll get over it. There will always be more L's or toys in your future
Making them come alive makes it worthwhile, only this time on the down-low....or something

trust me man i have been there, after my father died (i was a young little tike) my fathers side of the family sued my mother (keep in mind her husband had just died, and she was a jobless housewife with no college education that hadnt worked since she was 18)for some money that might have been owed. so much for them greedy bastards, i disowned them and havent talked to them since. but now its all water under the bridge and its all in the past. i hope everything works out for you man, and remember no matter what happens we will be here for you. what i have learned is that through these experiences, when this stuff happens it really helps to strengthen the bond between you and the people that you can trust. me and my mother and my sister managed to scrape by on a measly 15k a year budget and yet she still managed to buy me kool things for christmas. i love her very dearly and thank her greatly for her courage and strength to put us through college. ***** happens but just keep your head up and everything will work out

No say it at so, that one of my hero's of the Lightning world has to sell his truck!!! Hopefully everything will work out and I can see you run down the track a Cecil on the 12th of April. After all pics of your truck ICULOKN, made me decide to buy my Silver L.

 

Dude that sucks. I'm sure you'll figure out another way so that you can keep the L.
