Another L owner has sold

Well as of this afternoon my True Blue 2002 build #2332 has been traded in on a Nissan 350Z. I just can not have a truck that I would worry about going someplace in and be halfway there and have it spit a plug or whatever else. The SVT product line is one KICK A$$ line of cars. I have have owned 3 SVT products. Gen 1 Lightning, Countour SVT, and the Gen 2 Lightning. I even drag raced Fords when no one was and that was tuff paying double or more for hi-po parts for a 351C. I have owned Fords for 25 years but see they have gone down the drain here lately. Their lineup of cars does nothing for me any longer.

As for this board, it is a great place for info on these trucks. Sometimes, yeah it gets out of hand, but no matter what type of message board I am on it happens. I didn't post much because I knew whatever I said may not have helped in anyway. I will most likely still read the board from time to time just to see how you guys are making out with your ETs. I know alot of you have some really fast trucks out here. I wish you all thebest with your trucks and lower ETs on each pass. I know what and how it feels to alway best your best.

BTW don't get me wrong I still and aways will bleed Ford blue(still have 2 351C).

And for those of you who really feel the need to flame me for buying the Z oh well go for it if it will make you feel better.

Peace and lower ETs to all.

No Flame.........as my wife says "Like what you buy & buy what you like.

I'd only ask one question.......How many miles had you driven your '02 L ???

The answer to that question.......would most likely have me making a comment that would be something like "It really seems like you didn't really give the L half a chance.

You cannot go through life reading evevrthing that has happened to Joes cousin Bobs brother.........and just know that you're doomed and the same thing will happen to you.

Our '01 L has 41,000+++ troublefree working miles on her. Not abused.........not babied, but she does work.

See what she has been doing lately :

Oh.....BTW, Bone stock, stock original sparkplugs are still in her.

Do I worry ???? No, not really. If anything was going to spit out a plug, this thing would've on any of the last trips that have been made.

There's my .02 cents worth.

Have lotsa fun with the Z. The cars have came a long way!!

No flaming here....most people just want an excuse to get something else. I do it all the time, well until I bought a 99 Lightning. My excuse to trade my 98 Cobra on it was, "I'm tired of driving a stick shift in traffic." My excuse to get the 01 L was the good interest and a new truck to start with since my 99 was used. It's always something....I'd be curious how many people trade their Lightning's in because of problems they've heard of and have not experienced themselves.

yep

the Z is right up there with the L in the book of performance vehicles imo...

they're both tasteful vehicles (the L is more niche to an extent of course)

Z-owners are mighty hardcore though!

And then theres the flip side of it. Those of us who've been through 3 intercoolers, countless brake rotors, enough cracked foglights to pave small parking lot, and a spark plug in a pear tree.

I just dont have enough good sense to sell it.

My truck is running fine, and i work it.

Good luck hauling plywood in that z!

Whats up with all the "see ya later this truck *#%$ posts?"

Also , since ford does "nothing" for you anymore, maybye you should buy a GM performance car. Oh , i forgot , there is no such thing right now. Better buy a ricer !!

P.S If the 03 cobra isn't enough , well , whatever.
