I hear everyone saying to remove the front for better 60' times.

I took mine off and didn't see any improvement, I know the weight savings alone is a advantage.

Since I drive mine everyday and the fact I am lazzy I just leave mine on now.

I took my front off and my 60' stayed about the same...saw no improvement. It does save the weight where we need it, in the front.

it can't hurt to take it off right? I am going to the track sunday the 16th and am going to do everything possible to get into the 12's.
The rear one i never even thought i could remove. That one should i leave on there for weight in the rear? I've already taken off my hitch and will remove my spare tire when i run.
Tail gate/toneau i am going to try with it tail gate up and toneau on the first time. Then i think i'll remove the tailgate only. Then try both and off and see what happenes. If i have toneau cover on but tail gate off, does that create any kind of vacuum or weight i can avoid some other way?
Thanks, Shane

Removing the front will help with weight. In theory it might help with weight transfer by allowing the front suspension to fully extend. One issue I had with mine was that it was frozen in place. I was having a hard time launching so I decided to try and disconnect the front sway. After I removed the end links I could not move the bar at all. The bushings needed gease in a bad way. I ran without it and was able to hook up. I now lube my front bar on a regular schedule and have no problems.

Best to leave the rear bar on. It will help keep the load even on the launch. Without it the truck will really rock hard to one side. Might be a fun experiment to come up with a super stiff rear bar just for the drags.

I had mine off for yesterday at E-town. The track conditions sucked so bad that I didn't see a difference in 60' times.

I used to do that in the mustangs and it helped with weight transfer and 60' times. It was prolly all in my head though because I only compared the 60' on different days...I hate that.

Maybe one day I'll take the 10 minutes at the track and try it on and off.
