Question Calling DonsBolt

I thought I read a post by you stating that you just bought a set of Weld front "skinnies" for your truck. I have been trying to follow your post history to find your post and have given up on this method.

Would you mind telling me the "specs" of what you went with on the front wheels/tires...size, weight,cost...ect.?

Thanks to both of you.

I like those, mostly because they match my rear XP Draglights.

You mentioned load rating on those and driving to track. I am assuming you feel pretty safe driving on those long distances...well, of around 3 hours or so.

Do either of you happen to know what each of that type wheel/tire combo weighs?

Thanks again

Is that for each side??? My stock F1's and wheels weigh in at 64 each side.

I am thinking you mean 61 lbs for two wheels and 2 tires. My rear 9.5x16 only weigh about 44 lbs each

Sorry, brainfart.

42 lbs. for 1 wheel and tire

stock 99/00 was 61 lbs for 1 wheel and tire

It was a 19 lb. savings per side

Don,

Do these wheels look like the ones you bought? They arrived today. They look nice, but I was not expecting the two piece design. I recently bought the rear XP Draglights and they were one piece(solid).
What I am talking about is the ridges inside the holes. You can see that it is two types of metal.

Thanks Don,

I got the same price on them...132.00 each. If you don't mind my being a pest...what made you go with the tire choice you did...other than load capacity?
I checked our F1's and they are not even showing a load capacity.

I was considering the Yokohama avid v4's. Size...235/60vr16 for their higher speed rating. The load capacity is only slightly less.

Would you share your thoughts on this and also on possibly going with the 225/55's to get a "thinner" tire.

I went with the ones I did for a few reasons.

1) I will drive with them to my local track, 1 hour each way
2) I may drive from Massachusetts to Virginia, Ohio, and back with them on. So I wanted as high as a load rating as Possible.
3) I want a H Speed rating
4) they were in stock.

I think they told me they had three or four left. The number in this thread I am directing you to, is Weld direct.

Some snooty little B#tch will answer and try to run you off. Just ask for the guy in the post and tell her it is personal.
