Filter Change

I have mobil 1 5w30 in my truck. I want to just change the filter at 3,000 on this oil change .How much oil do i re add into the truck when i put the new filter on?

If I were you I would just change the oil as well.I run Mobil 1 and still change it every 3k.

Ya just do both.......you will make a friggin mess trying to remove the oil filter and not draining the pan.

Oil filters hold 1qt of oil.

I make a huge mess trying to change my filter, how the hell do you avoid that. Last time i even poked a hole in it and let the oil drain out and when i took it off oil still poured out everywhere.

I'm assuming you know there is a drian plug........Remove the drain plug first, let oil drain into pan........remove filter......voila.

Yea I am gonna do mine soon.. My trucks have not been started for awhile and due to condensation and not mileage, It should be done...

Do the bread bag trick. Put the plastic bag over the filter, then screw it off keeping the front of the bag elevated. Works for me...
