$2.10 for 91 at Costco, $2.29 right around the corner. I waited all of 30 seconds to get to the pump, well worth the wait!

grinomyte -

The cheapest place in Torrance that I know of is on Hawthorne near the Computax building...a new station, started out as a Mobil station for about a month or two then suddenly became a 76 station overnight. It was always crowded there. I lived in Rancho Palos Verdes for about a year while I interned at Del Amo Hospital.

76 switched from MTBE to Ethanol back in November. They were the first of the stations here in L.A. County to do it...soon all stations will be required to abandon MTBE as it is incredibly toxic, seeps thru the tanks and is making all the ground water toxic. Both are oxygenators and I'm sure they'll find out that it is equally hazardous.

As for where I am, I'm right up the street from UCLA now. The 76 station up the street in Beverly Hills next to the BH Hilton is around 2.40 now for the "good" stuff...all 91 octane of it.

I see in the news that Senator Boxer is ordering an investigation of the oil companies in the state for price gouging. Now if we could get the death penalty for oil executives rather than a 25 thousand fine for a multi-trillion dollar multi-national company then we might see results.

Save some Gas Money

Guys i got into this program as a way to save some money. So far it seems to be working. I can save up to 22% on my gas purchases, so basically I'm paying .15-.18 cents less a gallon.

check out http://jbreams.fuelzone.com for more info.

Angry

$5.11

UK£0.87 a litre = US$5.11 a US gal

Fill up yesterday cost me over a $100. And it's getting hard to even find premium gas (any premium gas) over here

I'm not driving the L every day...

Cheers

Mike

computax building? which crossstreet is that? torrance blvd? thats the one i try to goto if i can, right near the del amo mall. They can hit 1.99 for the 87 right now. I remember a mere few months ago i got it for 1.45 there Yeah i have buddies at UCLA that i visit on occasion and man gas there is horrible, if you wanted to you could pay 2.50, its retarded. My parents live in rolling hills and same thing, gas is retarded, i might drive out to compton to get my gas.

Oh and about the MTBE 76 was passing out pamplets and i checked it out, they had a little asterisks saying they dont put mtbe in cali or arizona gas anyway. Why would they oxygenate our gas? Its the same temperature everyday.
