Disappointing Dyno #'s

I recently dynoed (inertial dyno-jet) my ’01 and only got ~340 RWHP. The guy at the dyno shop did not have a lot of experience w/ L’s and only pulled in 2nd gear. Also, I have 20” KMC Thunders that way a chit load more than the stock ’01 wheels. I was wondering if the ~340 HP is consistent w/ everyone else’s results. The reason I ask is someone else in our car club has an ’02 True Blue with the mufflers removed and he pulled ~370 RWHP.

Plans are to dyno again, but this time in 3rd gear. Since the last run I switched to Royal Purple and will have an Anderson Ford PowerPipe w/ 12” Filter installed. Looking for ~350 RWHP or am I dreaming?

Should be doing it only in 3rd. Your heavy wheels will cost you a little.

You should always dyno from around 70 with OD OFF in 3rd gear without downshifting......
