air

I checked the s/c oil the other day and when I took the cap off a litttle bit of air came out. Is this normal? Is it just build up pressure from the s/c spinning?

From: Colorado,
If the engine was warm I would say that is normal.
Did some dribble out?

Mine released air under pressure too last weekend when I checked the oil level for the first time. Oil flowed out too, so it was full.

The s/c and eng. were stone cold after setting all night. So, the s/c's rotor movement must cause a build-up of pressure during their normal operation, or do they? Just for kicks, I'll check it again this weekend and see if the s/c is always under some positive pressure.
