Cool Installed Metco Idler Pulley Pics

Installation took about 30 minutes. A well made piece that fits perfectly.

As far as I know, I wasn't having a belt slippage problem anyway, I just like the bling bling and the insurance that it won't slip.

It seems to me that it has to help cure slippage problems with the way it wraps the belt around the blower pulley. I just took a ride and ran the crap out of it and the belt is still on, so it works and fits great. I couldn't be happier.

Looks great Tim!! How do you know which size you need and does it alter the length of the belt you need? I currently have a 4lb lower with the Gatorback belt.

KINGPIN,

If you run the stock upper pulley, you need the 90mm version. If you run a smaller upper pulley, you need the 100mm.

I'm running the stock upper pulley with a 4 pound lower and I'm using the factory stock belt. I installed the 90mm kit on mine. It's working fine so far and I just blistered the street in front of my house with it and had no problems.

This looks like a great mod to me.

sonichog,

It's meant to stop or minimize belt slippage on the blower pulley, which will cause loss of boost.

Thank you Blown93, but I tip my hat to Metco, they made an incredibly nice mod. I'm just proud to be selling them.

That is one sweet looking set up. It's got to help with any slippage if you had a problem to begin with, and the wrap around effect is a whole lot easier on the blower's front pulley.

I wonder if they have a kit for the KB? My upper ranges in size big time depending it I'm running on the street, playing around, or a the track.

Hey Eric,

They have a kit for the Cobra/KB combo so I would guess they have one for the L also.
