Question Metco pulleys smaller than others?

I read a while back that the Metco pulleys were actually smaller than the others, so basically Metcos 4# is equivalent to a 3# and their 6# is actually a 5#.

Anyone have any data to back this up?

I'd be curious to find out what the diameters/circumferences of the metco pulleys and the other are in the 3-6# configurations.

I just want to make sure I have all the info before I purchase...

thanks...

All I know is that the Metco 6# is smaller than the ASP 6#...Now if the ASP is really a 7 and the Metco a 6 I'm not sure. Does anyone have a pulley sizing guide? I mean in like inches for stock up to 6 or 8..

I do but it's on a Excel Spread Sheet
and it can be posted here.

I'll give you some of the facts

Lower Pulley Sizes

2# ~ 7.90"
3# ~ 8.17"
4# ~ 8.50"
5# ~ 8.75"
6# ~ 9.00"

Upper Pulley Sizes

Stock ~ 2.93
2# ~ 2.80

STOCK---- JDM 2#----PSI 2#----METCO----JL 3#
7.4---------7.8---------7.9-----------8---------8.17

JL 4#------JL 5#--------JL 6#
8.75-------8.5----------- 9

Rob: I have a JL 5 lber installed. Are you sure of these measurements:

JL 4#------JL 5#--------JL 6#
8.75-------8.5----------- 9

Why is the '4' bigger than the '5'?

I just compared since I sell both kinds. The Metcos are a tad smaller on each size. Not small enough to kick the pulley rating down 1 psi though. I just spoke to Aaron at Metco this morning about it, they are going to make the size correction on the next run of rings and bump them up to match the ASP size exactly.

Does anybody know if Metco has increased their pulley size yet or if they are still on the first run of pulleys? I'm getting ready to buy a 4# and just want to be sure I am getting the newer, bigger pulley.

Sorry about bringing up an old thread.
