Suddenly shifting @5800

I have an 02 with JDM superchip, airbox mod. It was shifting @ about 5500 which was OK by me, but now its shifting at 58-5900 which is prob. too fast for these rods. Any ideas as to why it would change.? I disconnected the battery and cleared everything to no avail. Took chip out and it shifts at stock 5250. Thanks Mike

well your power drops off long before that so you're not really squeezing much out...and its too risky either way...

also i think the fuel cutoff is around there so i'd watch out...

drive her easy until u get it fixed...
