Next project - have truck dynoed next Saturday Does anyone know how to post a sound file??? I was asked to record the sound of my truck with PSP's new cam.... I love it - sounds bad ***.... I will post pictures of everything as soon as I have some time.....

I can't wait to hear it, your setup sounds like what I want for my truck but I want that works 140 too.

Awesome Dave!! When you dyno the truck, bring a floppy with you and have them give you the dyno files, then e-mail them to me and we can tweak the tune baby!

Will do Sal...

Thanks again for giving me the cam you had set aside for your truck. I love it....

The truck has never ran so well. I went for some WOT runs and it runs VERY strong. Your ported / polished heads & cam have definitely made a noticeable difference.

Thanks again,

Dave

No problem Dave, it was the least I could do for the wait you endured. I have another set on the way for me right now, so no worries .

Our head package kicks butt for sure. Chris Johnson from JMS recently dynoed a set of the ModMax heads on Dale from Pro Power's N/A 4.6 GT. The heads with stock cames picked up 25 rwhp, and the cams (one step down from what we are using) picked it up another 15hp, for a total of 40 rwhp increase, on an N/A 4.6! Think about the gain on a blown 5.4 . Chris (who's tuned over 15k vehicles on his dyno), said he's dynoed all the available ported modular heads and all the others actually LOST power. Glad we chose the ModMax .

cyntaxx-

Actually, of the total amount, $4,008.30 was for misc. parts (e.g. gaskets, center console, bed liner, moroso pan, etc.....)

Other then removing and replacing the engine, they did other things such as;

1. Wire Recaro seats
2. Order and install center console
3. Install NX Express bottles - build custom mounting plate, modify mounts
4. Install new heat exchanger
5. Order and install bed liner
6. Install Super cooler
7. Install new fuel pumps
8. C-Notch frame and install brackets
9. Port Intake to heads
+ Much more.....

Sal-

Byron is going to be there when I dyno. Is there anything that I should tell him / or make him aware of?

It's not Chris Johnson's dyno; it's Professional Engine's Dynojet. They're not even affiliated.

He has NOT tuned over 15k vehicles on their dyno. That dyno is lucky to even have 15k runs on it at all! It would take over 5.5 years, at 10 runs a day (not counting weekends) on that Dynojet just to even produce 15k runs, and considering that Chris is one of the hardest persons to get ahold of for a custom tune (not because he's backlogged, either), that claim by Chris is preposterous, but coming from him, that's not surprising at all. Think about it, it would take him 20 years at 2 cars a day just to tune 15k vehicles.

Chris just bought himself a Mustang Dyne, and it's in the process of being installed and calibrated.
