Anyone know of any changes....

in the front Bilsteins for our trucks?

The ones I was given has the correct part number on the box, but looks a little different from the one on the truck.

There is about a 4" long 1/4" diameter shaft from the tube to the lower mounting point.

Is this correct?

Ford had a problem with the wrong parts being put in bilstein boxes

Here is picture of the fronts

Here is picture of the shocks I receieved. I ordered 2 fronts and 2 rears. Ended up with 3 rears and something else - Not a front for the lightning. The fronts were misboxed. I triple checked the part numbers and the guys from Ford parts online checked thier stock and found more misboxed parts...

The last one on the picture IS not a Lightning part - i bet it looks like yours...

yeah Doug,

that is what I got... only two of them!!!

Looks like I'll be ordering some from www.fordpartsonline.com and hoping they will be the right ones and taking these back to Tommie Vaughn Ford.

Never thought replacing shocks could be this bad.

Thanks Doug.

The upside is that if your truck is anything like mine the new shocks when you get them in will be a BIG improvement...

My 2000 shocks had 50k+ and were getting a bit mushy especially on the highway at speed. The new ones are a BIG diffference.

Good Luck

Doug
