Free carfax weekend!
That is so cool
Sure enough.... That's my truck
But, it was clearly the "left" front that was damaged....
$10,000.00 to repair
Guess I won't be selling any time soon.

That CARFAX report really has me bugged though. I had been thinking of selling the truck this spring but something like that on the record is going to cost me
That truck is actually in better shape than it was before the accident. Most of the front suspension and steering components were repalced. I got new front and rear bumpers (the originals had been damaged because my father tends to run into things). The entire left side of the truck as well as the hood and tailgate were also repainted, removing all the scratches and spyder cracks that it came from the factory with.
These trucks really do absorb the brunt of the impact quite well. This was a right-angle collision. I was going around 30mph and she going 15-20mph, so it was a 45-50mph impact. The impact was LOUD, but I really didn't feel anything. I was also a wearing a seatbelt. My coffee mug wasn't and it hit the roof.
It's good to wear a seatbelt and keep up to date on your insurance. The 22 year old girl that hit me had not been paying her premiums. Just like that: She's $10,000+ in debt.

Alot of folks won't even look that up. Just don't mention the wreck unless they ask. As long as the wreck hasn't left the truck with some long term disability, your not ripping anyone off.
Rocks
