Faster Constant Ratio Steering Gear

As we all know, the late model F-150 and Lightning use the same steering gear box. It is a 14 to 1 constant ratio steering gear. It is my understanding that the 03' Lightning has a "re-valved" steering gear box for a better "on-center" steering feel. However, it is still a 14 to 1 constant ratio gear.

Does anyone know of a steering gear box for the Lightnings (and therefore the F-150) that has a faster constant ratio, such as 13 to 1 or 12 to 1

Thanks.

Hey Rocks!

Since you have both an F-150 and the 03 Lightning with the re-valved steering gear box, could you comment on any differences in the steering.........does the re-valved Lightning steering gear feel more like "sports car" steering than the F-150 steering gear or is there no real difference....

I am thinking of swapping my F-150 steering gear box for an 03' Lightning steering gear box, but do not know if I will feel enough of an improvement to justify the expense
