Nail in my NITTO D/R?????

Is the tire no good for drag racing anymore or can i patch it?

Well, that depends. How much tread is left ? Where are you gonna get it patched/plugged ?I know Discount wont do it if the tread is too low , which it almost always is with DR's. I believe most shops are like this. You would probably be best served getting it done at a little mom/pop shop.

You guys can say what you want and i will probaly get flamed for this but,I would never plug a race tire . I am sure people will say as long as its not on the sidewall it will be O.K.. You are going to be going high speeds and be doing burnouts at the track and to me my life is worth more then $150 or whatever it costs for a Nitto.
I know if my Hoosiers get a hole they will be replaced.

I got a nail in mine and had it patched. Patched, not plugged. Still works great.

A nice thick patch will do just fine. I wouldn't plug one though.

I dont like patches or plugs at all in something I care about....
