Its def a sweet piece. Although I guess I'm not sure what its doing to increase boost. If I understood it better I wouldnt mind dropping 200 for it, but until then...

If it's similar to the unit developed for the 03 Cobra, it will provide for additional surface contact with the upper pulley, and actually provide less down force on the nose of the blower........and it will dress up the motor, and that's a good thing.

$230 for a pulley?

Show me some actual gains in HP and Tq because of less belt slippage and I will buy it, but until then, I will rely on the auto tensioner and the dual idlers.

How can you claim HP and power increases when you havent even done testing? Not flaming, just curious.

I must admit, it is very blingin

It won't increase any power, but I can tell you from my expereinces it will make the response on the truck a little better.

Looks nice, but I would rather have two bigger stock idler pulleys to wrap the belt a little more.

Wow, tough crowd..............Bottom line, if you reduce slippage, you gain ponies.

If you don't have a problem with belt slippage then you won't benifit... High boost trucks will probably benifit more ... These pulleys make more belt surface around the pulley.. They sure do look nice, they are in my near future.........

PEaCE...................

Joey,

You know that I respect your opinion, so, would you agree that with the extra contact area of the belt on the blower pulley, you would tend to lose less boost due to slippage, and therefore actually gain real power... given the fact that the belt could be slipping due to less contact with the blower pulley routed through the stock idler? Did that make sense??

Tim,

What about guys like me with the Dial-Ur-Boost Upper Pulley System ? I switch back and fourth with 2 different size upper pulleys, (2.93 and 2.80)

1- Can I still use it, and which one would I use ???
2- Does it still use the same size belt ???
This is an important question with an Upper + Lower Combo like I run. Even know I have 4 different size belts, I use the 4lb Lower/2Lb Upper "Belt Size" all the time now. This way when I run the stock size upper (BIGGER) I got a tighter belt and less slippage

Your system interest's me because when I run my 2lb Upper along with my 4 lb Lower the Upper Pulley is obviously smaller than stock so slippage is almost a give me, even with a Gator Belt.
The only thing I'm afraid of is this may get in the way and actually slow down the 2 minute's it takes to switch Pulleys. I plan to switch very often because I'll be running 6lb all motor runs and 4lb Nitrous runs at the track this year and will be switching back and fourth a lot
WOULD THIS SYSTEM WORK FOR ME ?

I'm interested also.

RTKILLA... did you say that this setup will wear out your belts faster and possibly cause more harm to the blower? I remember you saying that you ran a similiar setup.

Rob_02,

You would need to use the 100mm pulley, I'm not sure about the clearance issue when changing out blower pullies but it seems like it shouldn't be a problem, and you would need to experiment with belt sizes to find that perfect combination. This product is so new that I can't answer your questions with documented facts yet and I can't get hold of Ron to confirm anything until monday.

Can't speak to belt wear, but it should lessen the load on the blower, by reducing the down force applied in stock form.
