Thanks to my GOOD friends at the Tates Creek Valvoline (It's
a LOT dryer INSIDE today!) I have measured the driveshaft and
pinion angles. The pinion is n u t s on at 0 degrees, and the
driveshaft is 1 degree slope up towards the engine.
This sounds pretty close to perfect, IMO, what do y'all think?
Anyone know what the stock ones measure?
TIA ... Cliff

SVT KY: So you've got 1 degree negative, with what mods to change this from stock?
I lowered mine with 2" shackles (rear only) and haven't measured it yet. Kinda hoping for 1 to 2 degrees neg. from the change.

Full ROUSH lowering + 1" of rear shackle. Even steven on the
lowering 16.5 inches CL to fender rim.
I thought that I would see more, but 1 degree seems very small
compared to the shims that I see some people using (4 Degree?)
I am not sure what the negative means ... The back
of the driveshaft is lower than the front ... If that's negative
then that's what I have a 1 degree slope down toward the
differential. The differential is dead vertical.
I think if the back "squats" on launching with slicks, it would
make the angle less negative, right? So you would have to
"preload" a certain amount of negativety? Have I got that
right?
Thanks ...
