does smaller front tire affect ABS

i'm trying to decide what to put on the front of my ranger,

when i had the cobra, you couldn't vary a lot on the sizes front to rear because of the "abs" i thought, but now i'm thinking it was the traction control

there are guys running big tires in the back with the skinnies up front without any trouble, correct?

The ABS sensors the hub. No problem.

The smaller diameter the tire the faster the hub will spin. That being said, I purchased 255/45/18 tires for the front of my truck and two people have tested them. No problems.

Our stock tires are 45/18's, so how did your diameter decrease? You have smaller width. If I am all wet blame it on the Cuervo.

When you see a tire listed as a 295/45 that is a ratio. 295mm wide and the sidewall height is 45% of that. Since the width decreased so did the sidewall height. These vary from manufacturer, but are pretty close.

I may be confused as to what the question was in the first place. Width has no effect on ABS and height may depending upon how much the change was.
