I remember when I was faster then sal, HAHAHAAHA. that didn't last to long huh, HEHEHEHE.

I remember when the superchip program just hit the market for our trucks! that was a long time ago, HAHAHAHA.

Ya it's funny reading some of those old posts and about the "new" products that had just come out. Most of the oldest ones are about the filter kits and chips...no pulleys, no nitrous, no traction bars...OH MY!

mecca Feb 27, 2003 11:48 PM

I remember when I first saw these trucks... and uhm... lost a little terd in my whitey titeys!  :rocker:

yep i remember last july when i was bone stock to the paper element filter!

those were the days...when i could stomp on it and barely break the tires loose on a 95 degree humid day....

When the 2# pulley came out everyone thought we'd be blowing motors up and that they were not a very smart idea. Just look at what people are doing to stock blocks now....

I remember running 12.79 with no pulley in september of 2000,but what i remember most about that summer is watching High Risk run 11.80s-90s at Milan when no tuners were even close to 11's :bows:

He would have ran 11.60 at Stanton with his setup and most likely quicker yet on the east coast.

Anyone know what ever happened to his turbo project?

What mods did you have at the time to get into the 12.70's with no pulley................That is MIGHTY impressive!!!

that what I was wondering as well...

Ahh, the good old days, when men were men, there were no chips except Superchips canned program and all of our intercoolers leaked like Monica Lewinski's lips.................

Finally sold my 99 due to the frustration of trying to get Ford to accept responsibility for the leaky condition.

Of course, I bought my 99 on A-plan, drove it for 10 months and sold it for more than I paid, so I guess I can't complain - afterall, your not going to do that with a 2002..............

My 00 had 373 installed before i took delivery, and the other mods were Swanson[lean] chip, pro m and et streets and the temp was around 60 degrees.
High roller[matt] also ran high 12's at the same awesome strip[Mid Michigan Motorplex] in his 99 with chip[most likely lean like mine],filter and bfg drag radials.

I would still like to know what ever happened with High risks turbo project.....anyone know?

I havent heard anyone even mention it for quite some time now...there are some pics floating around for all of you guys who dont know what were talking about. Last I heard he was turning some decent numbers but not what you would expect from a setup like that.

So you sold your 99 for a newer improved model with a break away aluminum drive shaft, rods with wings and the same spark plug launching heads.

We have come a long way......or have we:D

You know the old saying, "two steps forward, one step back..." But, now the 2002 is gone and replaced with an 03 Cobra. No plug launching problems and the rods should stay in place as long as we keep the boost to a respectible level.........of course the half-shafts are another story, but there will always be weak links in any vehicle you mod, it's always been that way, and always will.
