I have some minor mods flip chip,4lb lower,ported TB,air filter kitand upper link bars.A guy in town is talking smack so i wanted to know where i stand and what i need to buy to make it a closer race.

 

Depending on the mods the Cobra has...you could lose 1,000 pounds, get a built up bottom end, and bolt on a brand X blower...

 

Don't forget the slicks

 

cobra is stock and im going with the stiock bottom end and supercharger with no NOS.

 

Sounds like it'll be close. Throw on FT VB and use some slicks and he'll be eating your ***

 

With a good launch, I bet I could take one easily

 

What kind off times should I be running with my current mods?

 

they dont have all the gobs of lowend us L owners have, so the trick is launching good

 

What does a shift kit has to do with anything.

I sure hope your talking about racing him from a dead dig. If you plan on any roll he will take you. A stock 03 can roll with a high 11 low 12 sec L
With slicks and good air you should run 12.6's.

It all depends on the air and the traction, I had similar mods, look in my sig. MAYBE you'll run high 12's

 

Try to pull good out of the hole and find out what modes he's runing? Some people tell you one thing but have another do your research. "Visualize the win!"

What Soap said is correct,if the 03 Cobra is stock and you have the mods you say you do you should win from a dead stop in the 1/4 but from a roll from any speed the stock Cobra will beat you.Do not mess with a heavy modded cobra from a roll it will out right embarrass you he will have 10 lenths on you before you know it,trust me been there done that already!Good luck!
