That's just amazing, for a vehicle that's been out for less than a year, to make 700RWHP. What a fine time to live for racing.

I second that, these are indeed great times for motor heads.

Those are awesome #'s!! BUT, I wonder how long those half shafts are gonna hold up!? I read somewhere that the Gen 3 Lightning's will also have independent rear suspension's. WTF? I see alot of broken half shafts in the near future.

Stronger half-shafts are already available, along with kits to eliminate wheel hop. There are already guys out there making 700 horses so it will be interesting to see what the break point is for the motor. I'm planning on working on mine soon, beginning with a new shifter, CAI, chip, etc. But the draw of bolting on that much full-time power (vs nitrous) is pretty strong..............hope my wife's not reading this.............

screw this man, I'm just going to get a cobra motor with the 4 valve heads and get a KB blower then with that much power.

700/700 is more then enough to run low 10's with the truck! And thats motor probably has another 100 in it with the fuel gett boosted

well after having my cobra this friday will be 2 weeks, all i can say is wow! good job svt! after driving my brothers 03 for a while i just had to have one myself. i already have a 2.80 upper, 6 lb. lower, jlp ram air, billetflow plenum and throttlebody. i also have the magnaflow catback ordered. the more i drive it the more i like it. but i feel like the stock exhaust on my car is totally choking the power. all that boost i have it just didnt seem to respond that well. ill have to see when the catback goes on to see if it improves. if it does ill have to get hi flow cats next. sounds like there are gonna be some fast cobras and lightnings this year!!!!!!!!!!!

What a terrible year to be a chevy fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahahahaha.

How about a 850hp NA 32v 5.4?
You can nitrous it if you want, no SC it has 14.5to1 compression
The bottom end is good for 1500+ hp. Billet main caps, rods. My buddy is thinking of selling it. I asked him to send me some pics of the short block, heads, and some of the billet one-off parts. Hopefully he'll email them to me in a couple of days.
