ATTN: VINNIE or other console guys

how do i get my Expedition Console the sit flush to the floor? I have like an inch gap up in the front. Looks butt-f'n-ugly. Thanks.

You are not going to like my answer.
I cut the carpet and padding out(just big enough for the bracket) and set the bracket on the metal and that enabled me to sit the console flush.
There might be another way but this is what worked for me.

If you cut a u shape cut in the carpet and pading you can install the brackets. Leave the cut out intact this way if you wanted to remove the console. You could seam glue it back down. Make sure you use a sharp blade for a clean cut. Artie
