does the exhaust discolor your wheels

i've got a 2002 hd, i just did the exhaust on it and put the tail pipes in the same place you guys got them. i've been told that the acid in the exhaust will eat away your wheels. have any of you had any problems with that???

thanks

i've gotten unburnt fuel specs on them, but that washes away.

hell if it would eat away the chrome on the wheels, what do you think it would do to the paint

From what I remember it was white.
I had put some 110(I think) in and ran at E-town right after I got my T.Q. and 8# er. Then the next day drove to Cecil (about 2 hours) and when I got there my wheel was completely white.
I usually only run 100 and that pump was broke so I bought the next highest octane. It never happened again.

Hey Vinnie

I thought the only unleaded gas that E-town sold was the 100 octane.

I remember the 110 and 120 being leaded fuel. Am I remembering that wrong?

I thought the highest unleaded gas made is 104.
