Question Plug Color

Can i get some feed back on the color on these plugs. I have a 6lb lower. Superchip. I run 93 octane. I did add about 2.5 gallons of 104 octane to 5 gallons of 93 yesterday at the track.
What do ya'll think...it is a redish color.

They are Denso IT22 with a .040 gap.

Thanks for the help,

Rocks

There are more pics here if it helps to read themhttps://www.f150online.com/galleries/albumview.cfm?num=3518

Cool

Everytime I run some 104 at track my plugs pickup a reddish tint on the ceramic insulator.

The plugs look like you're running on the fat side but that's probably because it's a colder plug.

I sure appreciate the help LTNBOLT. These plugs have about 1800 miles on them. The tune is set up on the "safe" side. So I suppose fat beats hell out of lean. There is a more agressive side in the works.

Right now the gap is at .040. I was considering decreasing it to .035. I have one of those Plasma Boosters on my truck also.

What are your thoughts on dropping the gap to .035?

Thanks Again,

Rocks

Cool

If you're not hearing any detonation and it runs fine then I'd leave them alone. Wider is better if it's not causing any problems.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Thanks again. That is about the size of it all. The redish color made me wonder a bit. But you confirmed my suspicion on what that was about.

I guess I better get back out in the garage and finish checking the rest of them...I'll be up all night...these things are a biotch to get to....LOL.

Thanks one more time,

Rocks
