Cool Underdrive Pulley Install

Here are a few pics I snapped while doing the install. My setup would mainly apply to people with electric fans and cageless lower pulleys.

Underdrive pulley parts kit.

Remove the Blower Belt and it's Idler Pulleys.

Wedge a long screwdriver between the waterpump bolts and it's shaft to break the waterpump bolts loose.

Use a puller (that you can rent or buy) to remove the stock Power Steering Pump Pulley.

Use the installer to press the Underdrive Pulley on.

Unscrew the Waterpump bolts out, put the Waterpump Underdrive Pulley on, install the belt and tighten the waterpump bolts.

Very nice write up Chuck. Just a quick sidenote about the install, if you have the stock water pump you will also need to remove the fan, and if you have a caged pulley, you will also need to remove the blower pulley. Cobra water pump and cageless pulley makes this install a snap!

Edit- just reread your post and saw the part about what I just said, LOL.

Cool

Sal,

Your right. It's a lot more involved with the stock fan and lower caged pulley. He's got that setup in his instructions with a stock truck.

Thank God that I had already put that time in, LOL.

What exactly would I need for an E-fan, Cageless pully, and E-pump setup?

Cool

With an electric water pump the only thing you can add is the power steering pump pulley.
