Chip

Can a chip be found out even after it is removed,if so is there
a fix.****

I think the contacts are the only sure tell way they know.
There are some post around talking about putting the protective layer back on it, but I think if they look close enough, you can never hide the fact that the contacts were scraped clean AND USED

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while so the code will clear. Also reapply the Protective coating on the computer......If you want to put it back (not that I would every do such a thing you know) but I'd think you could find some very high grit sandpaper ... lightly sand the connection to remove deep scratches then paint with a light grey paint.. let dry then cover with Humiseal (1b73 ap)

or you can always "acquire" a new pcm altogether from somewhere...just dont get one that has a big REMAN sticker on it
