Computer seal????
I talked to my dealers yesterday as I stated in another tread, and he said they turn a blind eye to mods but ford makes the big decisions. He was telling me that he had an L there with 15000 miles that blew a motor and Ford didn’t cover it. He said Ford came out and inspected the pulley on top for marks and the computer for a chip. Now here’s what throws me, the service manager said that the computer has a seal on the outside. From reading all the treads I’ve never heard of a seal/sticker on the computer??? I haven’t looked at mine but can anyone shed some light on this??
All mine had was the rubber plug on the service port. No tape, no anti-tampering stuff. Maybe he was talking about the conformal coating on the circuit board edge connector? Thats the only thing they can really check for, especially if you have disconnected the battery for a while to clear all codes.
