One on each side of the passenger seat exactly like that. WTF are they? Should they be there?

 

If I'm thinking straight. Its for the Child anchor on a carseat??
Underneath that dot should be little things to hook the carseat to.

 

Thats different never saw that before?

 

Is that new for 2003? My 2002 doesnt have those.

I suppose I oughta know what it is, but frankly I don't either.

it's on my '03 L as well. I believe they are present on all '03 F150s. I know that I have seen them on non L's.

Just looked they are on all new cars. It is to indicate that the hook for the child safty anchor in the car seat it there.

 

They're strictly for annoyance purposes! Aside from that, to indicate the location of aforementioned child seat docking points. I've grown to ignore their presence!

Yeah its the child safety seat anchor indicators or at least that what it says in the manual. If yo ulook underneath them there are the metal anchor brackets. There are like 20 pages of teh manual dedicated to the safety seat, hopefully I won't have to worry about that anytime soon.
