Lightning Blower Questions

I have heard that the Lightning and the 2003 Cobra share the same Eaton M112 supercharger (difference being top-fed vs. rear-fed). Is this accurate?

Can the Lightning blower be swapped for a 2003 Cobra blower? Will the 03 cobra blower headunitlt onto Lightning blower intercooler?

Thank you

The way the blowers interface with the intakes and intercoolers is a lot different. It's not a simple swap.

Both units use an M112 rotor pack, but that's the only thing they share. Each Eaton unit is built specifically for the vehicle it's used on, so the cases are made to per vehicle, and are not interchangable.

Thanks for the info guys.

I have another question. I have also heard from a few other L owners that the 5.4L SOHC L engine is simply a stroked 4.6L SOHC engine used in the Mustang GT and a few others. Is this true?

Well, basically yes. Same pistons, same heads. Obviously different block, rods and crank.
