Hey Joe, I remember you said you knew a guy who did head porting, etc. in your area. Did you ever look into this? Has he ever done Lightning/5.4 heads? I'm wondering what port job + helicoil would cost around and thought about your guy...

 

for a standard port and polish with new huge valves and guides and springs, and everythign in between its around 2 grand I want to say.

If you want a maximun port and polish with all the same upgrades just a more extreme port, its around 3 grand for it all.

He's a good guy and he's done plenty of Pro 5.0 cars, outlaw cars, renegade cars, lots and lots of 4.6's but I don't think he's done 1 lightning yet. But the PI heads are the same on the L as the GT's too.

When I get ready for it he's goint to do my heads for me! and you can bet I'm getting heli coils done for sure.

His name his mike and he owns High Flow Heads. Super nice guy that will talk to you for hours about porting the heads and everything he's going to do. there in alsip.
