DR.D & Raoul,
Thanks for the compliments on the Super Bee. I bought the Charger style of Super Bee (1 year only) because I also had a 74 black on black Charger SE (318) many years ago and it couldn't spin the tires but it was sure a nice car. The Bee is going in for a restoration and repaint to the original red in the near future but I fell in love with the lime green so I picked up a 71 383 Super Bee in that colour a few years back to give me my Dodge fix while the beast gets redone.
to all muscle cars (and lightnings)

Plug BLow out
I had the same thing happen to my 1997 F150 4x4 but it was due to a knuckle head mechanic putting the wrong plugs in my truck.Don't worry about it Ford will replace the head as that is the only approved repair for the heads that lose the plug threads. My gues is the plugs were cross threade when installed and the heat melted away the stripped threads and then it finally blew the plug. Be thankful ford is taking care of it. I was stupid enough to give the mechanic that installed the wrong plugs the chance to repair it and he installed a Helicoil which ended up breaking my head and ruing my engin at 50k miles so i had to pay for a new engine and am now in the process a suing him to recover my 6grand for a new engine.

Wow- small world. If your SS happened to come from Thrasher's in Amherstburg, then I've driven it before.
There's a few of us with L's that go up to St. Thomas Dragway pretty regularly through the summer, although we're thinking of making the switch to Grand Bend this year. The more the merrier.
