You are right

Somethings just aren't right

Hell, JDM made over 500 RWHP WITHOUT a chip.
Might want to ask Nitrous Pete about that

I thought 490 something(when pete was there) and then another time 507, but it was not from Jim so I could be wrong.
Either way, didn't pete make a ton of power on the stock block?

There was a guy with an '03 Cobra on SVT performance and he broke a rod. He said the only mod was a chip...

Keep in mind Vinnie, that the 96-99 and 01 Cobras has WEAKER rods and pistons then we have in our current truck.

Add a blower to one of those motors and count the days until you get a cracked ringland on #7 piston.

Shell out $7000 for a new motor to handle the blower.

The L was the top dog for years. Although i wasnt to happy with Ford at the time making a truck faster with better technology then my cobra, this tech does trickle down. The new Lightning will be just as strong, if not stronger, with a twin screw to boot.

Cobras got their *** beat up and down the street by LS1's and Lightnings.. Now, its the Cobras turn to have a set of *****. The next L will definately put it in its place.

Wonder what the ET's are going to look like for this year...
Shame no one has had a chance to run that car.

Later...

Nitrous Pete was running at Atco 2 weeks ago.

I believe a 12.2 on a slippery track

If you do an automatic in a Mach 1 be prepared to get some trans work done. They shift at a lower rpm and dont allow the same performance as a manual.
