Question Balanced the 20's need help to remove adhesive

Had the tires balanced and the tire place removed the old weights. Now there are strips of old (2 way) tape left behind. My rims are chrome and do not want to be too abrasive in removing the old tape from the weights....Any tips

Howard

GOO GONE seems to work on adhesives. Saturate the area with it a couple of times and it should bring the glue off.

Or you can use brake parts cleaner and a cotton rag. I doubt any liquid cleaner will harm the chrome finish....hell I'll bet you could use gas to clean it off. You should be more concerned with what you wipe it off with. Make sure you use something that will not scratch the surface like............a soft cotton rag

Bug/Tar remover or WD-40 will work as well.

Or break out a razor blade.
