Hotchkis 1/2 on L with a Snuglid (Reply)

Mark Rossetti from Hotchkis said,

You may loose that rake with the lid. They will often drop the back down
1/4-.5". If you are going to tow with the truck you will want to get a set of
air assist air bags. They will get that rake back when unloaded.

Where do you buy air assist bags at and how much are they? See I really want to lower the L because its just too high, but i dont want to change the dynamics of the suspension with shackles. So I want to just replace the whole suspension system with the Hotchkis setup, but I want a slight rake in it also. Just a side note Superfords Sonic Blue 03 (with the Hotchkis on) is the best Looking Lightning I think I have seen in a while.

I cant remember seeing anyones truck stance change with Hard Cover.. We have pulled them off put them on raced with them and without them ... Never noticed a change. The snuglid only weighs about 100 lbs... Evenly distributed across the bed I bet you couldn't detect any rake changes... If you do with hotchkiss then they have awful light springs..

then I have a concern as I have a black 02 with a bedrug and a snuglid.. plan on the 1/2 drop with springs and shackles.. I have no intention of adding air assist bags.. dont think I'll need them when towing the boat.. I agree with Doug.. I didnt see any stance change on mine.. thats why I will lower my truck on a 1/2.. I have seen pics of guys towing with 3/4 on a 3500 lb boat without a prob..
are you sure they arent just trying to sell you something?
