When I bought my L the guy told me the heads had bigger valves. He was half right. I have the heads off and just measured the valves. Intakes are 1.84" but the exhaust valves are stock. Seems to me the guy should have wanted to make the exhaust valves bigger if he was going to do just one but hey... to each his own.

Anway I want to upgrade the exhaust valves. What's the biggest size I can fit in there? What's a good brand? Where is a good place to buy them from?

Last year I bought some from JL. I think they were ModMax valves. I also believe that Ford Racing sells some.

I don't have the box anymore and don't know the size. You could probably call JL and he could help or someone that sells the modmax valve. Maybe a bigger one is available, but there is not a lot room for much bigger.

 

I believe the modmax valves are 1.452 dia. wich would be about 1mm over stock.

The modmax (Ferrea) valve is a really nice lookin piece...no doubt much stronger than stock.
