would you buy...?

<strapping on flame suit that will allow me to take a walk on the surface of the sun now...>

Let's assume Ford decided to make TWO Ls in 2005. One, the current model 2 door and the second, a crew cab version with a shorter bed... Still SVT, of course.

Would anyone buy a crew version? If no, why?

depends how it looked...... i would buy it if it was like the Harley Davidson.... as long as 18's were in regular cab, and 20's were crew cab.....

so yeah, i think SVT could make that look good. and perform not as well, but good enough to be noticed.

I would, but i dont see ford doing it because of the HD, as long as they still made that.

Maybe an extended cab. I doubt I would buy a crew cab. Just not a fan of crew cab unless it is on a big truck.......Crew Cab F-350 Duallie(spelling). -Mat-

I was thinking that they should scrap the harley supercharged and go SVT with the crew cab. With the exact same engine this time since it would be an SVT vehicle.... The performance obvoiusly would not be quite as good because of the extra weight, but it would still be cool in my opinion...

I would consider the crew, but never over the regular cab for reasons similar to what Vinnie stated. However, I think it'd be a nice weekend cruiser and with the extra room it'd be fun to make it a real nice show truck. Just look at what Rob G is doing

Just for the record, my first car was a Ford and after going SVT I can tell you that as long as they keep making them, I'll always have at least ONE SVT product in my garage.

i agree with the Vinmeister. it would just end up being a HD with 18's instead of 20's...who would want that?

Naw. if you want a performance truck a "coupe" is already 5k+ lbs. If you want a 4 seater find a new auto.

I can certainly appreciate saying NO to a 4 door L... However, I should have stated it would not necessarily replace someone wanting an L. Obviously, if one were looking for performance and performance ONLY in truck, the L is had. Hard Core, *** Kicking performance...

But, on the other hand, if one needs something to occasionally tote coworkers or family, but still wants an occasional speed rush, a crew cab would be nice.

Yeah, the HD is OK, but I would have preferred an SVT vehicle. Would the L community have been upset if the 02HD had instead been something else -- basically a 4door L with the same 8lbs of boost rather than detuning them?

No matter how you look at it, the crew cab will never compete performance-wise and I know that. However, I have a "special needs" kid and I cannot have a 2 seat vehicle...
