Hey guys after you took your towing package off did you cut the electrical hookup off or tie it up or what?

I used mine to hook up some lights that go between the rear gate and smooth rollpan.

I would never cut anything like that off when it is so easy to tie wrap up out of the way.

Just bolt it up to the frame using one of the holes from where the hitch was mounted.
If you take/cut the harness, get ready to rewire your brake/tail lights.

The plug has a clip that pulls apart like all the other electrical harness in a Ford. After I pulled the 2 parts off the brkt I plugged them back together and tied the whole thing up on the tail light harness. The hitch falls off in seconds if you have an impact wrench. I figure I will wind up putting mine back on someday, it is really easy.

The Harley's just unbold the bracket, and bolt it up under the bed out of site. I suppose any hole in the frame would do. I seen this enought that I figured they were delivered that way.

I just used electrical tape. Sealed off the open end after unplugging it, and then taped it to the truck up & outta the way...and LISTEN TO PUMPHEAD...I used a regular wrench & those freakin' bolts are NO JOKE! I pulled so many god*amn muscles & ligaments, that for the first time ever, I went to my massage therapist..............FOR A MASSAGE!
