Rick Deneau, a Senior Manager for DaimlerChrysler Communications, told PUTC: (Dodge) expects that the SRT-10 will be released by the end of 2003, possibly as a 2004 model truck. While pricing has not been announced Deneau added it will be competitive with the Lightning.

I would'nt guess it's actually out. But It's not unusual to see pre-release stuff running around w/stock plates up here. I saw the t-bird and Marauder 4-5 months like this before their launch.
(even did a little 30-70mph runnin with the Marauder too)

We'll see a magazine test before any of these are in customer's hands.
Ya I agree.....you see early releases of vehicles around the "Motor City" all the time.
I am not saying what Frank saw was an SRT-10 but I am not raising BS......I could care less what that website said.

Soap and wydopnthrtl are exactly right. Southeastern Michigan is the best for seeing what's coming out in the next year or two car wise. I've probably seen 5 or 6 new Cadillac XLR roadsters already, going back to last spring. Regular plates, instead of Manufacturer's would not be unusual either. He may have seen an SRT-10.
That teardrop hood is readlily available. The scoop is slightly different than the SRT-10, but it's close. I've seen it on several of the new Ram's complete with a billet insert to match the grille.
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Can't wait to race one, and can't wait to see SVT's response to it.
John Coletti's words to me and Builtfordfast last March were
"Start saving your pennies boys. You're gonna love it...."
