what brand and size slicks should i get?

When it warms up, i want to get a set of slicks, preferably DOT. Since the new hoosier quick time pros came out...it's making my decision a bit harder. from experience, what do you guys recommend for light track duty? they will be mounted on 16x8s or 10s...

Quicktime Pros or ET Streets seems to be the two most popular choices. Pros and cons? Prices? Anyone got a used pair they'd like to sell?

For light track duty why not go with some Nitto 555R's. This way you don't need to swap tires at the track and you get improved traction on the street. I like mine.......just would like to leave the hole a little harder with my mods. Best 60FT on them was 1.72. -Mat-

i might just do that but my F1s are still pretty fresh at 7500 miles. however i may wait til about 10k miles (i know i'm getting stressed about it too) and just go nitto 555s upfront and 555Rs in the rear.

however if i see a set of used slicks/rims i may scoop them up....

I'm definetly not an authority here, but I remember when I was choosing between the MT and Hoosiers it seemed like the MT was not made in a profile to allow me to still have the equivalent of the 3:73 gear ratio. I think the MT's with its equivalent would have put me closer to an equivalent gear ratio of 4:10 with mine being the stock 3:73.

I once borrowed some MT to see if I liked them before buying and my 1/4mile mph went down compared to what I normally ran so that showed me there was some truth to the above statement.

Personally,i like the gear ratio of approx 4.10 that i get with the ETstreets, and also the 1.63-1.64 60's.
I like the profile of the hoosiers better, but have not tired them.

min150mph,it could just be that you were not used to the et streets as there is no way you would get a higher et with them, once you were used to them.

I also got slower et's with mine a couple of years ago than my f1's,but practice makes perfect

My 60fts went down and my e/t was faster, but the mph was less. Comparing it now to my Hoosier's the 60fts are about the same. I don't think either one matters for the 60fts. Just having the slicks is a great improvement.
