Exclamation Calling "DL"

Hey man got a quick question for you. With your 28-11.5-16 QT Pros are you running a 8" or 10" wide rim. On the Hoosier site it says 8"-10" with 8" being bold. So I don't know if they recommend them to be run on an 8" wide rim or if that is just the smallest you can go. I know you have these tires so that is why I am asking you. Anyone else with these tires feel free to respond also. Thanks a lot. -Mat-

Hey Soap,

Thanks for trying to help, been having E-mail problems.

SVT F15O,

I have the Hoosiers mounted on Ultra Type 50/51 16 x 10 inch rims. Hoosier said the best setup with the new Quick Time Pro's was on a 10 inch rim.

I know some people that have them mounted on 8 inch rims, don't know the 60's times they are getting. The Quick Time Pro's are only about a 1/4 inch wider than the Hoosier 28x10x16 Drag slicks. 10.0 to 11.5 is really on a 1/4 inch wider according to Hooiser, not 1.5 inches.

Not Yet,

Just christened them last night with 2 good 40 second burnout's on a Interstate Overpass, good concrete suface to break them in on. Stuck pretty good...Let them sit a few days before I use them at the track. I've heard from other people, it is a good idea to do a good burnout and give them at least 24 hrs before using them at the track.

Hope to get to the track soon...
