Question having a hard time finding trany fluid!

Hey guys where can i get the Mobil 1 transmission fluid for my 00 L? And what exactly does the front of the bottle say? Sorry to ask a basic question but people at stores are looking at me like they have never heard of this stuff.

Autozone, Pep Boys, Meijer, Wal-Mart, Discount Auto Parts all carry it.

Advanced Auto doesn't carry it, that's whay they gave you that BS Line.

It's in a silver bottle with a black square outline on the front, that say's Mobil1 ATF Dexron III/Mercon Compatible. About $30 for a case of 6 at Pep Boys

Doing a 'google' search can give up all kinds of info :

http://www.mobil1.com/index.jsp Click on "Products/ATF" and you will see their info and a pic.

Holy crap why didn't I think of that first..........................wait I did LOL just kidding man but here are the reasons I still asked you guys

Things that concerned me from the web site:

"Applications: Provides performance superior to GM Dexron® III and Mercon® in all domestic and imported cars and most automatic truck transmissions."

The part that said most automatic truck transmissions. Man it would have been my luck that our tranny was outside that most and it would have locked up on me or something. Also when you do the "Which oil for my car?" search here is what comes up:

"No Data Found

There was no data found for the vehicle selected. If you have further questions about which viscosity to use for a specific vehicle, please consult your vehicle owner's manual, or contact a dealer or your vehicle's manufacturer.

You Chose The Following Vehicle:
Make: Ford Truck (edit)
Model: F 150 2WD Lightning (edit)
Year: 2000 (edit)
Engine: V8-330 5.4L SOHC SC VIN 3 SFI "

Not tryin to break your ***** there man! But I like to ask a lot of times before i do something to my truck. Thanks for all the advice people.

Mobil1 Website

Do you want to know why their website tells you no info found when we do a search for type of oil on our trucks? Because if a Mfr. specifies a specific weight i.e. Ford and 5W20 and they don't make it, they'd be in a heap of legal shiznit if something oil related happened to your vehicle. Now if the Mfr. recommends two weights as they do for my wife's 96 Outback then it gives you two options: 5W30 or 10W30. But that is only because they make oil that conforms to the Mfrs. recommendations.

I love Mobil1 and have used it for over 12 yearson many vehicles, and will continue to do so. In my choice of weight 5w30 or 10w30 not the H20 that FMC currently specifies. Although my truck is way out of warranty, and originally spec'd 5W30 anyway.

No problem u blnkd. Btw, Factory Tech uses Mobil 1 in his tranny and he's THE man! I had to be a 'hardhead' and use Redline's Synthetic D4 fluid and so far, so good.
