Lightbulb Nitrous Tuning Suggestions Needed!!

I am wanting to see if anyone has some data on tuning nitrous on a Gen 2? Like what is the best air/fuel ratio to shoot for, how much timing works best with a certain size shot of nitrous etc... I have asked this question several times before and for some reason it gets avoided. The main thing I would like to know is it true that you should tune to the max and then add your nitrous shot like NX claims? NX swears that with their wet kit you should not pull any timing to compensate for the nitrous but who knows. Would it be safe to run 16 degrees of timing and run a 75hp shot? Any info or dyno sheets would be greatly appreciated!

I'll guarantee if you tune to the max and add nitrous you'll be unhappy with the results.

I know you have been asking the question for awhile now. I say just get the same tune Keith has and runa 5lb lower and the 100 shot.

I've asked a similar question before but the only replies are from people who don't even have nitrous. It would be nice for the tuners to give us an a/f range and timing range to work with and then we can make our own choices.

I doubt certain people will post tuning info. Some of it is trade secrets. I guess you just gota trust your tuner!!

ICULOKN- You know I was thinking the same thing but the questions I had are just general questions, I wasn't asking for any "trade secrets". You would think some of the tuners would post some general info about running nitrous on the Gen 2's to spark some interest in runnning nitrous. Also you would think that as many L's that are running nitrous that someone would have already been on the dyno and posted some results. I would love to know how timing plays a role in making HP while runing nitrous on a Gen 2. Is that too much to ask? We can get 6 pages of discussion on which blower is best but not one response about nitrous.

I can tell you what I am running. Have a 8# lower and a 2.7 upper and will be spraying 100 - 150 shot. Will be doing this with my street chip with race fuel in the tank. The chip is way rich (not sure what the A/F is but it pegs the o2) and runs 14deg timing.

The general rule for most cars is pull 2 deg per 50hp of dope.

Thanks for the info Tommy.

rscoleman- yeah I have heard that as well but NX swears that you should not pull any timing with their wet kit.
