Question How to get garage off my Lightning?

While moving, I had an incident with the garage wall at my new place. Any ideas on how to remove the garage from my fender without making the paint worse than it is now?

left a bunch of paint on my fender. until I get the paint off I'm not sure whats underneath. thankfully, its at an apartment complex and they have 100 coats of paint on any given wall. I'm sure there are scratches but no dents or gouges I can see at this point. my concern is finding something abrasive enough to remove the wall paint without taking off my truck's paint

You can get rubbing compound and polishing compound

One is more agressive than the other. But the lightest should leave enough of the clear coat to buff back to a shine
Good Luck

Nathan,

I would recommend first trying some "Goof Off" or 3M Wax/Tar/Adhesive Remover. That should get the wall paint off of your fender. I would then recommend trying 3M Swirl Mark Remover to buff out any scratches left behind. It's one of the least abrasive polishes that you can get; and you can apply it several times w/out cutting too deeply into your clearcoat.

Good luck,
Edward

BTW, have you heard anything about those Pirelli Ferrari Challenge slicks? I heard that they're now hard to come by because Pirelli started requiring the teams to destroy them after using them.

Dont use rubbing compound!!!!!

try using the least abrasive stuff first... go get some Mothers cleaning wax.. I used it to get yellow paint from a pole I backed a red rental car into while on vacation.. if that doesnt work, then get some car polish, try some 3M Finesse II. (NAPA)..
