Yellow "L" (?) in San Diego
Yellow "L" (?) in San Diego
Driving down the freeway this morning I saw a yellow Lightning-ish truck go by in the fast lane (I was in the slow lane). Of course, I blow past my exit and proceed to try and catch it.
After a while I did (traffic) and here's what I saw:
1. Lightning badges, sides and rear
2. Chrome bumpers
3. Lowered to proper height for an L
4. Clear back window, but had the slider
5. Couldn't tell the rims at that speed, but it looked like 03 rims maybe?
6. Red taillights
WTF?? I couldn't tell if that was a real L with the bumpers and rear window changed, or if it was just a regular truck that had been painted, lowered and badged. OH, BTW, the driver looked to be in his mid-50's!
Anyone seen or heard about this truck? At least he looked over, smiled, and gave me the thumbs up when I pulled next to him.

Interesting guess, didn't think of that. However, it definitely did NOT have the Boss hood, so either the guy got a standard hood and painted it to match or it's something else.
I don't remember seeing the Boss' gawdawful interior either, but I didn't get too close.
