Works..K/B blower info needed.

Is there a warranty on either of these blowers once the boost is turned up,and/or used for racing?
If there is a warranty, what boost/rpm limit is there to said warranty?

If the rpm,is the limiting factor, then what rpm for each blower is the limit?

Example...20#'s of boost at 5450 rpm.
22#'s of boost at 5500 rpm ect.

Any factual info would be appreciated.

A warranty on aftermarket motor parts. Good luck . and if there is one good luck proving you even touching it did not void the warranty.
Of course I hope I am wrong.

If there is no warranty given or implied, then for me that = no sale.

It would be down right rediculous to spend that kind of money on an aftermarket item costing thousands of dollars and not have any warranty on the blower itself, seeing how they were/are being produced for gen 2 L's and gen2 L's only.

I don't mind reasonable limits to a warranty...but there had better dam* well be one:,especially after all the fuss about which one is better confused:

Typically most after market performance product warranties cover manufacturer defects, which is sometimes difficult to prove. The warranty is only as good as the company making the product. Good companies stand behind their products and work with their customers to make sure they are satisfied. This may also mean a compromise on the customers part also. The reason performance part warranties are often difficult is because it's hard to determine how the product was installed and how it was used. I don't know how many times I have heard somebody say I was just cruising at 30mph and all of a sudden it broke, when you know damn good and well the the person was out their racing the hell out of it and running it redline. Best thing to do is call the manufacturer and see what their policy is.

No offense but screw the manufactuer,i want to hear from the authorized dealers, who in most cases will be burning chips for the blower applications and will know what mods you have, and will no exactly what boost level/shift points ect a customer is running when and if something happens.

This is not about some silly tuner/blower war,and i have no friggen agenda.
For me it is,and always has been about the truck.

So how about it,any authorized dealers of these blowers want to shed some light here please?
It is the dealer who sold it to you who either will/won't go to bat for you if indeed you are running whithin the manufactuers safe spec levels and something goes wrong.
I already got screwed by Magnuson for 706.00 + a blower snout, but now were talking thousands of dollars.

I am not interested in peoples speculation on this....i want to hear from the dealers on this issue.....if they don't want to reply,i will call some that will, and post the info myself.

Personally,i would rather have them say there is no warranty given or implied, than to IGNORE the question altogether

Best thing to do is call the manufacturer and see what their policy is.

Then the best thing to do is call the dealers, but they will typically warranty it only if the manufacturer reimburses them. When you want concrete answers it's always best to go directly to the source and even then there is no gaurantee it will be covered.

Why should i have to,when they check the boards pretty much daily.
This is info that a lot of people want to know and should be posted in a public forum by the dealers.
Besides i would rather have them post any info as hearsay is usually picked apart and frowned on around here...just in case you haven't noticed.

We are the customers thats why. Would you buy a Lightning if you had to call around to see if there is a warrantee?

What I find really hilarious is when people claim one blower is better than the other the topic gorws to 5 pages in 24 hours, and this post which has been up for close to 30 is just about 10 replies long.

Not to get this thread all worked up, but do you EVER plan on racing the truck? 1/4 mile or R.C. because that would probaly void the warranty anyway. I can guarantee if you told the dealer your truck broke while racing, They would void your warranty.
This is a RACE part.
I know you are going to say so what, but race parts usually are not warranteed and if they are it is usually VERY hard to prove.

If the dealer or manufacturer wants to do the right thing then they should cover any damages. It is just getting that to actually happen is the hard part.
