Question about tires. Help!
I've got 28,000 on my '01 and my tires just did pass inspection for tread depth. That's many more miles than I ever expected to get.
I have searched online and am unable to find tires to fit this truck. I have also searched the forums as well but everything seems to be outdated.
Where can I get a good deal (value and quality) on some tires to replace the ones I have? All help is appreciated.

am I missing something? you were unable to find tires to fit this truck?
how about using another set of Goodyear F1's available most anywhere?
also Nitto and BFGoodrich and others make same size replacment tires.
good luck.

P.S. did you try tire rack or discount tire direct? how about your local ford dealership or other goodyear dealer?

Try something different
TOYO PROXIES
With a 420 UTOG rating they will certainly last longer than the F1s and surly they would have to be at least as good as the f1s are in the rain.
TOYO PROXIES S/T high performance Sport Truck tire.
Tire Size Product Code Rim Width Range (inch) Tire Weight (lbs.) Tread Depth Inflated Dimensions Static Loaded Radius (inch) Max Load (lbs.) Max Pressure (PSI) Revs Per Mile
295/45R18 108V 242280 9.5-10.0-11.0 39 11 28.3 11.6 13.0 2205 44 733
I abandoned the 25K F-1s after the first set wore out on my 99. Nothing was available then so I went to 16" wheels and Perelli Scorpion Zeros which I love, go 50K and are really great in the rain. I'm having my original wheels chromed and I an looking at other tires and I have had good reports on the above. No way Goodyear will ever get another dime of my money.
The Toyos are speed rated V (130) which should be more than enough for any short term high speed dash.

Sure... I can find some F1s locally but they have to be ordered and I'd have to pay $1200+ minimum for them. I'm not gonna go that route.
I'll check out some other brands. Any more online suggestions would be welcome.....

Color me an F1 fan. I think GY got the grip/wear tradeoff just right with these tires.
imo the f1 is an excellent tire. just the right amount of performance, stick, and wear rating.
i think i'll either be sticking with the f1s or possibly nittos come next tire change. however i'm scrapping the drag radial idea and will just have to pick up a set of 16s and ET Streets...
